The pharmacists are responsible for getting, storing and distributing drugs of various kinds inside the hospital, taking into consideration the needs of the hospital from the strategic stock and a reserve that covers the needs of the hospital for the medicines for a period of not less than six months, and in coordination with the drug warehouse pharmacists.

The department employs pharmacists and technical assistants, whose work is distributed amongst them to meet the hospital's 24-hour medication requirements.
