The Department of Anesthesiology, with its qualified medical staff, conducts consultation for preoperative patients through the examination of patients admitted and candidates for clinical anesthesia, access to all their medical files, and recording observations and recommendations, so that the patient is monitored from the moment he enters the operations theater until he leaves it, according to global protocols and infection control policies.

The department includes the following division and unit :

Perfusion Division (Heart Lung Machine) :

The qualified technicians in this division use the Heart Lung Machine for ensuring the ferfusion of the organs during the period of cardiac arrest in the cardiac surgery and the intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP).

Pediatric Anesthesia Unit :

The medical staff working in this unit anesthetizes children during cardiac catheterization and echocardiography.
